Spotlighting DC’s Creative Landscape – Washington Ballet
Driven by passion and innovation, The Washington Ballet has established a tradition of artistic integrity. The company continuously strives to push creative limits, thrilling DC audiences for more than four decades.
As a long-time client, we collaborated on numerous projects with The Washington Ballet. Ranging in scope and scale, and covering a broad range of mediums – from TV, to print advertising, to magazine editorials, and bookmaking — we brought the magic of dance to life. Some of our favorite projects are highlighted on this page.
Washington Irving’s classic American ghost story, Sleepy Hollow was dramatically reimagined for a modern audience. Pulling the dancers from stage to page, using powerful typography and hauntingly beautiful images, the production came alive — living on posters, online and transit ads, and in a video trailer.
For the premier of The Washington Ballet’s production of Alice (in Wonderland), we developed a multichannel campaign, celebrating the event. Beginning with design and art directing an editorial story for Washington Life, we also livened up the D.C. landscape with posters, online ads and out of home advertising.
The Washington Ballet unveiled a new production based on Ernest Hemingway’s American classic, The Sun Also Rises. Going beyond an editorial shoot for Washington Life magazine, we designed an entire campaign – filling D.C. with posters, online ads, and bus stops to promote the show.
