To launch Morphe’s Holiday capsule collection, we created a high-drama, high-glam video series for a social-first campaign. Inspired by TV soaps, the series follows a mother and her two daughters – all makeup obsessed with a fondness for theatrics. The chaos of family holidays gets kicked up a notch as each character looks to take center stage.

We designed the campaign to be part of larger system – living across digital, social, and traditional media – including in-store and down to package design. Often overlooked, packaging is a key touchpoint and a core part of brand experience. Understanding this, our approach was to create what we have dubbed, “Pack-vertising.”

To seamlessly integrate with the concept —we brought to life vintage VHS and box sets that used to “glitch out” in multicolored lines. Playing with this holographic effect, we crafted a custom pattern blending Morphe’s “M” and the makeup’s palette of hues. Plus, the product’s witty names: “Shade Thrower,” “Party Crasher,” “Crowd Pleaser.” Collective results included hundreds of thousands of video views, engagements, and shares across organic social media.
